AMANDA PEARN: unwoven

Explore the experience of female sexuality through unwoven fabric. A slow process that requires patience & time to un-weave the textiles. Akin to a woman undressing, we perceive these slow movements as part of the experience. Ultimately the installation is a tribute to the textiles themselves as they create an ‘experience in sexuality’ for the viewer.

ARTIST BIOGRAPHY

“Armed with a needle and thread at a young age, I’ve found immense inspiration in various facets of design as well as exploring the unfamiliar to expand my design vocabulary. I have always had a fascination with fashion as a means of communication. A visual reference that allows an individual to take away a meaning of their own. The goal is to make the audience pause and question what they are looking at. In doing so, I believe that the resulting discussion is what drives fashion forward and continues to propel the evolution of design.” – Amanda
