In a dystopian future, historical fashions were lost in the digital age with nothing to reference but the paintings and books that remain. Lusty Lita 2017 explores the interpretations of fashion from the Victorian era to the 1980’s in what they gather to be the most versatile fabric, lace.
Brooke Syrie [sigh-ree] moved to Toronto from Sarnia in 2003 to explore her childhood dream of being a fashion designer. While attending George Brown College she discovered an interest in modeling and sometimes found herself without appropriate clothing to drag along to shoots to fit the look. Brooke started to make what she couldn’t source from other designers in an attempt to execute proposed themes that matched her vision. Through this, SYRIE was born.
