WITH LOVE LINGERIE: MERCY

Mercy will be a fusing of western religious iconography and motifs with lingerie. For a decade I’ve wanted to explore the beauty in the stain glass and art of the Catholic church and how I feel it relates so close to how I feel about sheer fabrics and silks of the female body. The decadence is so lush that I’d love to tastefully bring the worlds of western religious imagery and my lingerie designs together. I like the idea of taking the dress code of religious garb and translating into a sensual lingerie collection.

ARTIST BIOGRAPHY

Women’s wear designer, Carrie Russell, draws much of her inspiration from her background in Visual Art and English Literature. She has worked with several North American lingerie companies, evening wear designers and private labels. Her lingerie has also been featured in many magazine editorial, advertisements and television shows like Global’s original series Bomb Girls.

In 2010, she launched “With Love Lingerie,” a lingerie company that marries her love of design from the 20’s, 30’s and 40’s with her signature modern femininity. With Love Lingerie is about evoking glamour and intimacy through underpinnings that are made and worn with love. Instead of offering the anonymity of big box brands, With Love sells in the intimate setting of lingerie boutiques across Canada, US and Britain. The company is proud of its high quality and that the collection is manufactured solely in Canada.
