KABS BOUTIQUE

Kabs Boutique is the vision and creation of Fida Kablawi. Each piece of the collection is meant to represent your own personal journey. By design, the open back is a representation of your past. The clasps and chains connecting the jacket together, a reflection of your various journeys in life. No matter what it is, you carry it with you. Your past and your journey will always be a part of who you are.The open front, is a reminder to always embrace your future with an open heart and an open mind. Always look forward, but never forget what got you there.

ARTIST BIOGRAPHY

Born January 18, 1981, living in London, Ontario, and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts from Western University. Fida was influenced from a young age by some fashion forward women with design skills in her family. Fida’s grandmother was known in the community for her beading work and her mother, very much like Fida, started her career as a tailor at a very young age. Designing her first gown at the age of 9, Fida knew that clothing design was her calling.

Realizing that everyone goes through a personal journey at some point in their life, Fida wanted to tell her story through the art of design. The concept for Kabs Boutique came to life after a personal journey of self discovery. Each piece of this line is meant to represent your past and present journey in life and how they will always remain linked together.

We are to leave our past behind us and focus on moving forward, yet the lessons we learn remain with us to guide us and make us stronger.
