QUENNIE JAYNE DAGMANG

REVIVAL + SURVIVAL II

Dedicated to her late aunt, Janet Guzman who has supported her work ever since she started weaving. She had helped Quennie connect more to her Filipino culture, and her late grandmother Ludivina Guzman who was also a weaver and dress maker, through textiles. Materials and techniques are the main focus; trying to use natural dyes from the Philippines and materials traditional to the Philippines, and incorporating handwoven materials woven by Quennie herself.
