APPROACHABLE ARMOUR
It starts with a look, a look you’ve never seen before. A moment later and the conversation that’s about to change your life starts. The words coming out of your partner’s mouth seem to all blend together and become inaudible. You’re broken, he broke you. Approachable Armour is a collection about finding yourself after experiencing the biggest kind of. The loss of yourself. With this collection I’ve shown the process of going through that pain and building up those walls through the use of colour, layering and hardware. I’ve also used texture to illustrate how fragile a person can be. The use of sheer fabrics mixed with the hard edges of the hardware I feel showcase the message in this collection.
ARTIST BIOGRAPHY
The Rowes Fashion was founded with a single phone call. Lost and confused about where to take my life after having earned a certificate in fashion design from ESMOD Paris, back living at home after a brutal breakup, directionless after leaving my life of art and creativity in Paris. I had no idea what I wanted to do. In a moment of sheer determination I decided to start a brand that held it’s values in diversity an acceptance. That’s when I got the call. An old friend of mine was organizing a fashion show and asked if I still made clothing. I jumped at the challenge and never looked back. My styles have changed, my line has become an expression of who I am and changes accordingly. My company still includes the culture of acceptance and diversity while showing off the personality that’s unique to you.
