“Stories from the infamous middle east” is based on mixing two clothing cultures into a cohesive narrative by introducing traditional prints into modern silhouettes. Every piece comes with its own story, which is written as a poem by the designer. Canada is a very diverse nation and many people identify with the dual identity of the east and the west. This collection is about embracing this paradox of individuality and celebrating diversity.
ARTIST BIOGRAPHY
SARA MIZRA was founded in 2014 in Toronto by Sara and Ali Mirza as a fashion house aspiring to empower the ones it dresses and the highly crafted artists in its production team. The design aesthetics are the integration of eastern and western cultures with modern twists of the 21st century turned into a wearable art piece which takes pride in its Persian and Canadian cultural heritage. The design process starts with a dream, turned into a poem by Sara Mirza, describing an astonishing woman leaving everyone in wonder. The pieces are designed to emphasize her elegance, beauty and curiosity in her own unique way. She is never fearless, but always brave and forever timeless. We stand strongly with the ethical treatment of animals and providing a flourishing environment for the artists working hard to turn these dreams into reality.
