Yasaman Arasteh, creator and founder of My85ive designs has been given the opportunity to bring unique yet simple patterns to keep a focus on the shapes. Arasteh’s designs comprises essential lines, geometric cuts and monochromatic colours.
Yasaman cuts shapes such as squares and rectangles from material to create patterns. Such maneuver allow qualities displayed in one piece to help create her collection of overlapping and interlocking clothes assembled from silk-satin, cotton, scuba fabric. Projecting simple shapes onto surfaces has projected different forms and shapes into different angles and varied material usage. The laser cut technique results in a significant one-of-a-kind garment, which has the possibility to fit the consumer’s size and demand. Her collection proudly holds a unisex position to project her strong beliefs in gender equality.
